Since 2014, we’ve been lucky enough to have a team of  Piano Teachers in Ancaster Ontario! We’ve been in Hamilton area Ontario since 2015, and really enjoy our students in the city.  Read below or check out our private piano teachers page to read on our newest team member in Ancaster, Sam!

Meet Sam, your in home piano lesson teacher in Ancaster!

In Sam’s words, he describes his musical journey.

“I started piano when I was 4 years old and learned at the Yamaha Music School in Malaysia. Here I was taught music theory and performance. I also have relative pitch abilities! After that, I began to be trained as a classical pianist and violinist through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). I finished my Grade 8 piano certificate 2014 as well as my Grade 7  certification for violin.

Along the way, I was trained in a few other instruments. I also play the saxophone, guitar, the ukulele, and a few traditional Chinese instruments. With these skills, I was involved in a musical where I played four different instruments for the two musicals. I love music and being able to create community with the music I make and with others who share the love to play and learn music.

Whenever I feel down, I would sit by my piano or pick up my guitar to help me understand my feelings. I feel music helps me calm myself. Music is a gift that I hope I can impart to others who I meet along my journey.”
