Kids Helping Seniors with Music Education
Kids Helping Seniors with Music Education is a lovely thing, because it benefits both the students and elders. At Feely Piano School we want to empower people through music, regardless of your age. We teach piano lessons to students aged 3-85 and know that it is never too late to learn piano.
Feely Piano School partnership with Music Education for the Young at Heart
Feely Piano School is partnering with Music Education for the Young at Heart, a not for profit organization which provides music performance and lessons in retirement homes. MEYH was established in 2015, and has been in operation throughout Ontario. The group holds piano performances, music appreciation lectures and music history lessons in retirement homes.
“I’m not too old for music lessons, I’ve still got time left!” – Feely Cleint, David Elkin of Brantford at the age of 85
The program is extremely beneficial for our students and also, for the seniors. Students of Feely Piano School can apply to prepare a solo recital, or 10 minute presentation.
“I helped my students learn how to prepare slides and history on their songs. They really enjoy thinking of music in new ways” – Emilee Feely, Teacher at Feely Piano School

How can I enroll my student to perform at a retirement home?
Our first location to explore this amazing partnership is our Guelph piano lesson studio. In the Guelph School board, you may see the following e-flyer distributed throughout March! If you are interested to present and you are in another city, let your teacher know. We will work on setting up a piano lesson concert in our Waterloo piano lesson studio soon!
Stop driving to piano lessons, and let your teacher come to you. We take care of you, and your family and know that quality and safety is important to you. Your lessons are guaranteed happiness or your money back.
